16 Best Ways To Increase Facebook Interaction [Infographic]

Some of the most intriguing statistics are the ones that help us increase engagement and interaction on any of our many social networking services. We have covered the topic here on Bit Rebels a couple of times before, but the more optimization we can share with our readers, the easier it will be for you to increase your influence and interaction on your own. There are people who dedicate every single hour just to collect and compile statistics like this, so why shouldn’t we use them when they’re made available to us, right? Once again, are we going to have a look at Facebook and how we can appropriately increase our engagement and interaction. Facebook interaction is already high when compared to many other social media services, but it doesn’t hurt to increase it further.

Some people want to call these “secrets” for some reason. Maybe they are secrets, but to me, statistics are always there to help us improve and optimize. They are not meant to be hidden at all. When it comes to Facebook interaction, there are plenty of ways to increase engagement. Some are as simple as timing and the choice of emoticons you use. Sound odd? Yeah, I thought that too when I first heard about it. But when the statistics were presented, I kind of understood why some emoticons catch people’s attention more than others.

As always, the end result of course varies, and your approach to posting on Facebook will have a vital impact on your Facebook interaction return. It’s easy to just share something quickly and thoughtlessly. However, it will most likely mean you will have less and less Facebook interaction since you didn’t interact in the first place. I don’t know how many times I have seen people share stuff on Facebook by just sharing a link. Without a tagline or an expressed reason why people should check it out, you can’t expect people to engage it.

More than often, sharing something by including your thoughts doesn’t yield any kind of response at all. That’s when we should learn that our current following has little or no interest in the subject being shared. It really doesn’t have to be harder than that. It all becomes clear when we check out this infographic presented by LinchpinSEO called Facebook: Wall Post Cheat Sheet.

Their research is not only intriguing, but the way you can increase your Facebook interaction by just utilizing their findings is as easy as can be. Everything from emoticons to what “keywords” you should use are covered, and by the end of it, you will most likely have increased your Facebook interaction level by quite a bit.

Alternating subjects, topics and content is always a good thing. People don’t want the same thing over and over again. They want to be able to learn and find stuff they haven’t seen before. That is exactly what I try to do when handling our Bit Rebels Facebook page. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. That’s among the first lessons to learn. You never know when something is going to become popular and spawn crazy Facebook interaction. That could very well have to do with the fact that people are not always on Facebook. Contrary to popular belief, people don’t stay on Facebook 24/7, which makes Facebook interaction difficult to predict. There are of course key periods of time during which you will have an easier time reaching more people. I have covered some of that in my latest Facebook post called Content Oriented Weekday Posting Guide For Facebook. It’s another great infographic to consider when you are optimizing your Facebook presence. Let us end with some simple words of advice – Interaction spawns interaction, and without it, little can be expected.
