Facebook vs Twitter: Content Visibility Compared [Infographic]

In order to be seen on any social network, you have to do something creative, we all know that. It’s getting harder and harder to break through the noise, and maybe that is the reason why so many people jump on new services when they are launched in hopes that they will become the winners in a constant race for followers. The thing is, I can’t tell you how many times I have seen people with hundreds of thousands of followers tweet something and get no return on their tweet. I have also seen people with a couple of thousand followers who get an insane response to their tweets. So how do they accomplish that? I would say it depends on what your approach is, and of course, what social networking platform you are using. Today it pretty much comes down to Facebook vs Twitter.

It has long been debated whether the Facebook vs Twitter comparison is even legit and which one of them allows you to be seen the most. The best way to determine this is to look at the statistics head on, which is what social media managers do. After all, they want their content to be seen by as many people as possible. There are a million and one tricks you could utilize to be seen, but finding the right one for you on your choice of social networking platform is like finding a needle in a haystack.

The experience on both of these social networking platforms of course varies depending on who you talk to to. PRWeb took a stab at trying to separate the two when it comes to spreading awareness and content, and in this case, press releases. Don’t get confused and think a press release is anything other than content. With a good title and some clever writing, even this article could be a secret press release. Of course it’s not, my point is that the way you present things on each of these giant social networking platforms is vital for visibility.

The Facebook vs Twitter debate might seem like a simple win for Facebook when you start thinking about the over one billion users that Facebook has. Furthermore, Facebook has always prided themselves with the fact that almost 50% of their users log in every day. Twitter has slightly less “impressive” numbers, yet it might be more suitable for content in the form of press releases, blogs and articles.

There are a lot of positive and negative aspects of both Twitter and Facebook, but when it comes to determining the winner in the Facebook vs Twitter competition, it seems this infographic called Facebook vs Twitter: Which Social Media Network Wins The PR Race? crowns Twitter as the winner of the two. When it comes to Facebook vs Twitter, the fact is that Twitter users are more likely to be interested in information than Facebook users are. This could be invaluable information to use when you start planning your press release or next promotional campaign. It’s definitely worth making a note of, don’t you think?
