How To Really Measure Your Facebook Success [Infographic]

Since the launch of  Facebook, a few years back, it has been the primary topic when it comes to social media. There is so much to know about Facebook that comparing it with any other social network would not be fair. Twitter does not have anywhere near the amount of features that Facebook does and LinkedIn seems to stay under the radar for most ordinary people. If your brand succeeds on Facebook it is a significant impact overall but how exactly do we measure Facebook success the right way?

There seems to be a misconception that quantity is best. More of something is believed to be better, but is it? I don’t know how many times I’ve been told that quality is always to be preferred over quantity, and honestly I have to agree with that statement. But what if we combined the two, wouldn’t that combination be what success is?

On Facebook, you can impact your success in more ways than on most other social networking services. Unfortunately, we always end up with the same question once again, how do you really measure your Facebook success? I would say that engagement is key. The more likes, shares and comments you have on an update the further it is going to reach. Yes, reach is a big thing on Facebook these days and with all right.

When we’re talking about Facebook success, we can not leave out reach. As a matter of fact, success is pretty much all reach. The more people you have the ability to reach the more successful your marketing campaign is going to be if you are a brand. Facebook has recently launched a revamped statistics section on all brand pages, and you can dig up a lot of useful information there.

When I say reach I mean the Facebook metric “Talking About”. I have been mesmerized by this number for a few months now, and it is really the only thing you need to pay attention to. The more people talking about your brand page and the updates on it, the more people you are going to reach with your future updates. This particular metric measures exactly how significant your Facebook success really is. If the number is low, you have to do more to entice people to talk about you. If the number is increasing, you have eminent Facebook success on your hands as long as you keep up the good work that is.

It is all represented in an infographic called How To Really Measure Facebook presented by  SEO Traffic Lab. It will give you a whole new perspective of how to measure your Facebook success and also how to affect it. It’s when you know how to affect something that you really know how to achieve the results you want. Facebook success is all about drawing people into your page it doesn’t have to be more complicated than that.
