Instagram Concept Camera Mimics The Logo Look

I keep telling myself to actually get into Instagram to see what it really has to offer. Its service have long appealed to me, but there have been many claims that the service not only destroys the good reputation that professional photography has, but that it also makes the quality of photographs take a step backwards. Sure, any process that adds, filters or alters a photograph is destructive in some ways. The raw photo processed is simply degraded by each element you add to it. Don’t take it from me though, these are things that I have picked up from talking to several professional photographers who, according to them, know what they are talking about.

Have I been talking too much to professional photographers who are whiny because people are given more and more powerful tools which could potentially risk their trade to the point where it could be thinned out and possibly faded? I don’t know, but what I can see is that people are embracing everything that has to do with photography right now, and in a faster pace then anyone could have ever anticipated.

With Instagram now marching forward like a tank on a battlefield, it’s not surprising that some people dream up ridiculously genius concepts based on its services. Take ADR Studio‘s Antonio De Rosa for example. He designed a concept camera that must be the geekiest one yet. Based on the actual logo, he conceptualized the camera that he calls Socialmatic for everyone to see.

So what about the specs? Well, they would include 16GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 4.3-inch touchscreen, two lenses – one for every day photography and another for taking 3D images, optical zoom, AR apps and QR code scanning and an LED flash. If anything, this badboy is enough to make me and many more people interested in just how deep you can go with Instagram before you reach the limit.
