For a few days now, I have been studying the SEO predictions and approaches for 2013. For me, it’s a whole adventure to delve into statistics, code and SEO optimizations that could potentially increase the visibility of a website. Some might think it’s a continuous strain of boredom, but it’s a necessity for a website to become successful. This is especially true now that Google is continuously incorporating social media and a whole lot of other factors into their search algorithm. Staying on top of your game is vital if you want to drive traffic to your brand’s page. But as always, for many people, finding the key SEO optimizations and how to implement them is an obstacle more daunting than reading up on SEO optimizations. Let’s try and make it a little bit easier.
I have probably said it more than once over the years here at Bit Rebels, but analyzing and optimizing your SEO should be a continuous effort. Sometimes the SEO optimizations you have already incorporated into your site become dated, and in some rare cases, they could even hurt your SEO efforts. Even your website design has a certain impact on the way Google indexes your website. For example, the HTML vs. text ration helps Google decide whether it is a document worth promoting or it should be put further down the list. This is something to keep in mind when you design your website or decide on a WordPress theme for your blog.
In order to make these optimizations simpler to understand, I have been delving into an infographic called Recipe For SEO Success In 2013 presented by Aha Media Group. It explains the key SEO optimizations you should consider before you get into the deeper levels of your SEO. I find it to be one of the best starter guides for SEO beginners I have seen, and these tips should make a great impact on your site if you not have implemented any of these SEO optimizations.
Content SEO optimizations are the way to go if you want to make sure a lot of people find your stuff after you publish it. The more creative you are with your keywords, which are sprinkled all over the place, the more likely it is that people will find your articles. Titles, URLs, content headers and of course the text and tags themselves should all have important keywords that describe your business or your content.
If you can perfect this to the point where you implement your core service or product into every item of content you produce and publish, you are off to a great start. There are many SEO optimizations you will have to implement, but getting your content seen is not harder than simply implementing them. It’s quick and could easily become part of your to-do list for every article or post you write.
I have only one more important tip for you. Make sure you constantly research your keywords in order to optimize where you end up in search results. Brands more popular than yours could have hogged your keywords and pushed you down the list. Staying on top of your keywords is always a good thing. Be creative and make sure they are all optimized to bring as much traffic as possible. Creative titles that are appealing yet include your keywords sometimes take time to build, but it’s definitely worth it. In the long run, you will find that your efforts when it comes to SEO optimizations are never in vain. They will serve you for the remainder of your website’s life. It’s important to make an assessment on how your old content is doing as well. I won’t lie to you and say it’s not time consuming, because it is. But the gain is worth it many times over.
Don’t put it off anymore, get going! There are plenty of tools out there that will help you improve your SEO and most of them are free. They are all optimized to analyze different SEO optimization so make sure you use a few. The combined force of those implementations will surely increase your visibility in the search engines around the world wide web. Now, have fun optimizing your SEO!
