The Best Time To Get Pinning On Pinterest [Infographic]

As a social media manager, you are expected to get the most out of every situation you find yourself in. That means no matter how many or few followers, fans and connections you have on any social networking service, you are still expected to manifest miracles. To accommodate that sense of stress, it is not always easy to find the right sources of data to optimize your output through the outlets you are managing. However, it’s not entirely impossible so keep looking. We here at Bit Rebels really want to help in any way that we can, so I took a few minutes to try and find something that could complement the Best Time To Post On Twitter & Facebook article I wrote about a week ago.

Twitter and Facebook may be the two largest networking sites in the world, but do you know which comes in third? Well, that would be Pinterest. Yup, this service, which about a year ago was nothing that anyone even bothered raising an eyebrow for, is now making headlines all over the globe. It’s rapidly becoming a strong competitor for the social networking throne that Facebook has occupied for so long. Whether Pinterest will be able to dethrone Facebook is hard to say. It would take considerable efforts to make that scenario come true, but I wouldn’t render it impossible with the rapid growth we have seen so far.

As this new networking site is making great headway, it is increasingly necessary to learn it’s biological rhythm to maximize your traction, interaction and growth on it as well. So is there sufficient data to know when the best time to pin stuff on Pinterest really is? Yes, it actually doesn’t take that much data to find that out, and the the people over at TechnoShe put together a nifty little Pinterest infographic called Pinterest For Business which really goes into detail about these things.

It might not be the most data packed infographic, but it has some really useful statistics that I am sure will come in handy when you are trying to master Pinterest for your business. As it looks, you’d do best in starting to pin at around 2:00pm to 4:00pm in the afternoon, and then take a little break only to start up again at 8:00pm and keep on going until the early hours of the morning at around 1:00am. I have no idea what timezone this is all for unfortunately since this information is usually left out for some peculiar reason.

This also has some really useful information about what content is most appreciated and what sources are the most popular among all the pinners on Pinterest. Even though this social networking platform is a lot different than most, it still has the same approach to it that every other platform has. You need to stay active, make sure you listen to your followers and share good content. That is always the key to slowly growing your success. And remember, you can’t always pin stuff that will go viral. It just doesn’t work that way. You will have days when seemingly nothing works, and then on other days everything seems to work. It’s how the biological rhythm of social media is, so we better all get used to it. That is also what makes it so much fun!
