There are a lot of ways you can market your product or service on or through the Internet. As a matter of fact, there are so many that there is no one who can entirely master them all. Not only that, but in order to do them all, you would need a small army of people to take care of each specific area. Conducting an online viral campaign is one of the most planning intense campaigns you will ever get yourself involved in, and the results are never guaranteed.
It will all depend on how the consumers respond to it. There have been loads of great ones, yes. However, to go from an idea to actually delivering a viral campaign that is beyond successful has been a task that few have had the honor to enjoy. I read somewhere that the most important thing you can do is to create a mailing list. Not only is it quite an easy way to get your message out to an increasing number of people, but it is also a way to feel some a sense of building.
A commercial or advertising campaign is limited to the time the ads are running, but an email marketing campaign can go on forever, pretty much. In order to undertake this kind of campaign, there are a lot of things you should think about so you don’t annoy your clients or consumers. And, as we all know, it can be quite hard to know what those silent rules are if you have never dealt with this kind of campaign before.
To help us understand the trades of email marketing, eMarketing Solutions has put together an extensive email marketing infographic called 11 Simple Tips On How To Send Email Marketing Campaigns (Phew! That’s a title!). It’s more of an ultimate guide that I think will truly increase your chances of scoring a higher ROI (Return On Investment) when you decide to take on this option of marketing.
I can’t say I understand the order they have decided to put down their tips, but if you read through the whole list of 11 tips, you will probably make up your own chronological order of things. What I like about it though is that it gets down to the nitty gritty, and it doesn’t so much beat around the bush with guff that doesn’t matter. As always, when it comes to campaigns that turn to an individual instead of a crowd, like a commercial campaign for example, it’s important to stay personal and understand who the receiver of the email is.
Missing any of these targets will only lead to a dud. That is something you will have to try and avoid since that could cause your email list to get a bad reputation. That’s never good and should be avoided at all costs. There is a time and place for any pitch. All you need to do is to figure out the best time and place for it to fit the demographic that you are targeting. Easy? Not by a long shot. Rewarding? It can be one of the most rewarding campaigns you ever undertake, and many companies have based their whole success on email lists. It’s an important marketing tool that should not be left untouched.
