Wasted Time In The Workplace: You’ll Be Surprised [Infographic]

I don’t think we can cover this topic enough. It’s ultimately important, and whatever we can do to make the time we spend at work a little bit more cheerful and fun is a battle won, don’t you think? If you have a job that is boring, and if you pretty much do the same thing over and over again, it can easily become an annoyance by the end of the day. You have to switch things up a little, especially when you sit in front of a computer all day long. However, the opinions about what you should do are as many as there are stars in the sky at night. Your boss wants to ban any and all sites where you have interaction with the outside world, and he wants you to just work. You want to connect with people to get inspired to do the same. What is right, and what is not?

I think we’ll see a lot more of these arguments in the future as the computer becomes more and more important in our everyday lifestyle. However, who can hide the fact that we are wasting a lot of time on the Internet when we should actually be working? For example, did you know that according to estimates and research it has been established that we waste about 800 billion minutes on Facebook each month? It’s an insane amount of time, and this is just in the US.

It’s quite apparent that something has to be done. Maybe Facebook will change their service in order to be able to incorporate more work. That way, they can gain more users, and the amount of usage will also increase if their service is taken off the ban lists around the world. It’s a tickling thought, isn’t it? Well, they make these changes because for a reason, and this could be one as viable as any other. I wouldn’t be surprised if we will soon see some heavily work-related addition to the Facebook profile. It could be something that will make the whole platform more directed towards work as well as the connections in between. How much would you say you use Facebook at work? More than you should?
