Every year in December and January all the top tech predictions come out for the new year. I look forward to reading those. Although many times people exaggerate their predictions, sometimes they hit the nail on the head. For example, I remember reading an article at the beginning of this year that said 2013 would be the beginning of the ‘wearable tech’ revolution, and boy did that ever come true. It seems there is a new wearable tech innovation announced each week.
Another thing I remember reading was that in 2013, augmented reality would become mainstream. Although we’ve seen augmented reality incorporated into a few interesting designs this year, I wouldn’t exactly call it mainstream quite yet.
Then there was the 2013 prediction that for the first time ever, employers would start to really understand how detrimental stress is to their employees. That prediction has come true. Companies like Huffington Post, Google, Proctor & Gamble, Cisco, Ben & Jerry’s, AOL, Zappos, Nike, Pizza Hut, British Airways, Time Warner and Newsweek are just a few on a long list of companies that encourage their employees to take a power nap at work during the day to help relieve stress and refresh them.
What about the top tech gadgets of 2013? We are only into the month of September, but surely there is a list of the top tech stuff that has come out so far this year. Of course there is, and it comes in the form of an infographic called Top Tech Gear Of 2013 by FinancesOnline.com (design by RubyMediaCorporation.com).
