27″ iMac Plated In 24K Gold Now Available

It seems it is always legit to bling something that you use everyday. This is especially true for gadgets that before had a sleek and straight forward design, but obviously somehow fell out of the hype stream. It has somewhat become a daily that we see gadgets blinged, and even though I myself don’t really understand the thrill of it, I do like the visuals that come out of it. I mean, an iPad with diamonds and mammoth bones worth $8 million? Let’s just say I would probably spend the money on something else if I had it. Sure, it’s a proper investment that I am sure would pay off someday, whenever that is. I would rather like to upgrade my gear every once in a while instead of being stuck with a gadget just because it’s blinged out.

So, the latest in the row of gadgets that are being blinged out, if you can use that expression when it involves gold, is a 27″ iMac computer. There is actually a service from Computer Choppers which allows you to put 24 karat plated gold on any gadget you’d like. It is said to be the ultimate customization, and it will definitely set you apart from all the others. But as with everything that involves customization of this magnitude, it’s not going to be cheap on your budget, I tell you that.

If you feel like putting 24 karat gold plating on your 27″ iMac, then expect the tab to be somewhere in the region of around $7,500 and $10,000, depending on the amount you want on it. Yeah, for that money you could probably upgrade your computer at least 3 times over the last few years instead of being stuck with an iMac that became yesterday’s news 3 years ago. I guess it’s in the eye of the beholder when it comes to all of these blinged out gadgets and services. If you got the dough you can roll, as the saying goes.
