5 Best Website Builders For Businesses

You’re probably already aware that you need to have a website for your business. For people who don’t have any technical skills or experience, creating a website can be so intimidating that you don’t even want to try.

Some businesses might decide to hire a web developer to take care of it, but that can be an expense many businesses can’t afford. Other businesses might not feel comfortable leaving such a big job up to someone else. Luckily, there are many website builders available that make it simple for you to create a website for your business. You can even find help with a logo builder if you need it.

Website builders make it easy for you to make a beautiful website without having a lot of knowledge about web design. You can choose from pre-made templates and make some minor changes as you see fit. Most website builders are inexpensive and almost foolproof to use. If you’re looking to create a website and need a website builder, here are five of the best options.

1. Wix

On many lists of the top website builders, Wix is consistently listed as number one. Wix is a drag and drop website builder that allows you to easily add content onto your website. Creating a professional looking website on Wix requires very little effort.

You can find hundreds of templates on Wix and it’s extremely customizable. Wix is available to use for free, but it also has paid options if you’re looking for anything extra, like using your own domain name or more apps. However, Wix doesn’t work that for e-commerce stores, so while it’s a highly recommended web builder, it might not be right for everyone.

2. Squarespace

Squarespace is another drag and drop website builder similar to Wix. The benefit of using Squarespace is that it makes it easy to run an online store. This is one of the best website builders available for small-scale e-commerce sites.

Squarespace does have fewer themes than a lot of other popular website builders, but they’re also still great options to have a good-looking website. This is also a good choice if you feel more confident in your technical abilities, as Squarespace can require a bit more work than other website builders. You do have to pay to use Squarespace, pricing starts as low as $12 a month and goes up from there, but it’s definitely a choice that’s worth the money.

3. WordPress

WordPress is the most popular CMS and a great choice for a website builder. Even huge companies like The New Yorker, Variety, and BBC American use WordPress. WordPress is open-source and free to download and use, but it also has paid versions.

WordPress has plenty of themes and plugins that can create amazing websites, which is why it has such a strong following. One downside to WordPress is that it’s harder to use than some of the other website builders.

Building a website on WordPress is slightly more complex if you don’t already have some technical abilities. Still, the websites you can make using WordPress are more than worth it. It might take some time to get used to, but WordPress is still easy to learn.

4. Weebly

If you don’t have a large budget to spend on a website builder, Weebly is a great choice for you. Weebly is known for making beautiful websites that you can get for free. There is a paid version as well, but many people enjoy just using the free one.

Weebly has trendy templates that you can customize using HTML and CSS. Like Wix, Weebly might not be a good option if you have an e-commerce store. If you’re using your website for information about a brick-and-mortar store, a free Weebly website could be the most beneficial.

5. Shopify

Shopify is another great website builder to use if you have a small e-commerce business. Websites made with Shopify make it easy to handle online sales. You will have to pay to use Shopify, though, there is no free version and plans start at $9 and is still similarly priced to other e-commerce website builders. Shopify is easy for anyone to use and has over 100 themes. People who use Shopify also enjoy it’s 24/7 support.
