How To: Build Quality Links For Better Search Ranking [Infographic]

One of the most important aspects of building a following or a large reader base is making sure you manage your links properly. Link building is not a difficult task, but there are many shortcuts that will actually put a bad taste in the mouths of search engines. Building quality links can be ultimately rewarding though, so taking the time to learn the traits and how to go about it is definitely recommended. When done right, building quality links to and from your website is the perfect promotional tool.

Some people try to inject an urgency into building quality links to and from their website in the belief that they will rise faster in the rankings on search engines. It’s not quite that easy, and search engines are always updating their algorithms in order to easier spot scammers who are just out to gain the benefits of a high ranking website without having to put in the necessary and sometimes time consuming work. Whatever you do, don’t fall into this ditch of no return.

Google just announced they are going after link farmers even more in their upcoming algorithm update. If you are using link building plugins or software, it’s safe to assume your website is going to be one of the many which are going to be demoted and penalized. If you want to build quality links that will last and bring you up in the rankings instead of down then continue reading. I am using an infographic called How To Build Links, presented by HUA Marketing, to highlight the importance of adding quality links onto your website instead of just adding them through a farming effort.

Before you delve into the massiveness of this infographic and what it has to share, you should know that the basics of search engine ranking is all about who is linking back to you. If you have influential websites linking back to you, search engines take that to mean that your website has valuable information to share, and that’s what search engines want to deliver to people who are using the service. The more quality links you have from websites sharing the same topics as you, and of course the more that are more influential than your own website, the better ranking you will get. That’s the basics of it described in a simple context. However, it’s not always that easy, as you will have to put more into it than that.

It is also said that search engines value text more than images, and that a post or an article containing more than 300 words (which also has to be easy to read) will get a better ranking than a post or article that has less than 300 words. There are a lot of different factors that determine your ranking, and this infographic will most likely be able to supply you with what you need to know.

I strongly suggest you do further research in order to pinpoint exactly what you need to do in order to receive a better search engine ranking. Quality links are multiple times more valuable than farmed links, so keep that in mind when you write your posts or articles. A quality link strategy will ensure you a long and profitable search engine lifetime, which will have a positive effect on your entire following. Your quality links give you influence, never forget that.
