To say that the recent earthquake in Japan is devastating doesn’t even begin to capture the magnitude of this tragedy. I can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like to cope with such an event, and my heart goes out to every person and animal that has been affected.
One thing they keep talking about here in the States is the staggering number of people that are still missing. When I think about how each one of those missing persons is someone’s friend, mother, daughter, father, son, teacher, neighbor, grandma, etc… it is absolutely heart breaking.
It reminds me of 9/11 and the people here who were missing for a long time. It’s riveting and makes you hug your kids a little tighter. It’s makes us reevaluate our priorities and hold our loved ones even closer. According to The Wall Street Journal, Google has stepped up and done their part to help those people who are missing reconnect with those people who are searching for them. It’s a People Finder app, and it allows people to search for information about those affected by Japan’s earthquake. It can be used as a tool to help find Japanese residents or tourists. The video below explains the pros and cons of using this particular app. God bless everyone in Japan.
