Haptix Turns Anything Into A Multi Touch Surface Instantly

So let’s start this off quick, what does Haptix have that no other “any-surface” multi touch enabler device has? As you know, there are plenty of solutions out there to turn anything into a multi touch surface. Most use devices like Kinect to drive the mechanics behind it, but that’s not why Haptix is so awesome. The features that makes Hapix’s multi touch surface enabler so awesome is that it is the first one to come in such a small package that it actually make sense to use it.

When I have written about multi touch surface technologies in the past, they have always been insanely bulky and slow. That is not the case with this Haptix device. It’s super small, connects to seemingly anything with a USB port (Windows XP/Vista/7/8 and Ubuntuand can be used for practically anything as well. Steve Jobs once said that having a screen in front of you with multi touch features would be ultimately unoptimized. It would be horrible to use and the injury levels would skyrocket with every second you use it.

That is what the Haptix device solves with it’s genius execution and implementation. The simplest use of it is to attach it to your screen pointing downwards, which will turn your desk into a multi touch surface on which you can do virtually anything. But Haptix is not yet a consumers product. It’s currently being finalized, and in order to that, it needs to venture into the crowdfunding realm to secure $100,000.

That is not going to be a problem though since their Kickstarter campaign has already amassed almost $75,000 and still has 27 days to go. There’s no doubt this will this be a very successful campaign, but it will also unleash one of the most intuitive multi touch surface devices on the market today. If we’re able to create stuff like this today, what will tomorrow bring to the table? Pledge today and let Haptix take you into the innovation of tomorrow.
