Personal Aircraft Cobalt Co50 Valkyrie Is The Way Of The Future

We here at Bit Rebels are big believers in personal air vehicles, and we have reported on several aircraft models and concepts that have yet to see the light of day as aircraft that you can buy. In our dreaming haze emerges the Cobalt Co50 Valkyrie and shows us the way of the future in a design that would make any futurist drool out of pure joy. It is eye-catching and could be featured in any science fiction movie without it feeling out of place. It is a personal aircraft that could potentially change personal flight forever.

The Cobalt C050 Valkyrie is a comfortable five-seater and offers a somewhat minimal storage space for carry-on luggage.  The Valkyrie is a single-engine piston plane capable of reaching speeds up to 299 mph, which is the fastest production model single-engine piston aircraft currently available.

If you find the thrilling speed and the many comfort features, such as the placement of the engine and the design of the forewing design to reduce cabin noise, you will most likely have to keep saving up your quarters for a while as this, fully equipped and extremely sexy aircraft will cost you a cool $805,000.00 (USD) to acquire. If you want just the standard model, you will “only” have to cough up $595,000.00 (USD). Also include the largest one-piece canopy in the world, providing a unique visibility to pilots and passengers.

It shouldn’t exactly deter personal aircraft buyers that the plane’s design has been inspired by classic fighter jets and that it comes in a range of custom finishes including dark colors, typically harder on composites.

As cars are becoming autonomous and personal aircraft is gaining interest, it is easy to see how the two could be combined to one day become that way we travel from A to B. We are probably still a long way off from entering the science fiction age of iRobot, but as the development of this technology is speeding up I wouldn’t be surprised if we will see flying cars on our roads and in the air within 20 years or so. That should be plenty of time to save up your quarters so that you can be one of the lucky few who first owns one.
