Personal Jet Takes Off Vertically So You Can Keep It On Your Driveway

The future is bound to promote personal jets and traveling solutions. In the last few years alone, some companies have unveiled their intentions to design, build, and ultimately launch and promote their personal aircraft. A few of them have already hit the market, however, without the expected success. People are skeptical towards a personal jet standing on their driveway. Why? Because there are too many uncertainties still that makes people uneasy about the whole thing.

I have no doubt that one day we will see personal flight as just another travel solution. As with Tesla, the bringer of the electrical revolution, it takes a while for people to get adjusted to the thought. Once we see that a new product is working as intended, we all jump onboard, and the revolution is a fact.

The TriFan 600 might very well be the personal jet that we have been waiting for. The potential is there if the price is kept low. However, as with all aircraft, keeping the price down is a difficult thing to do. However, XTI Aircraft, the maker of the personal jet, has a clear roadmap, and it’s an interesting one.

Starting with the TriFan 600’s most prominent feature, the vertical takeoff, a feature that will make driveway (modified) takeoffs a reality. But don’t think that we are all going to become the Jetsons anytime soon. The personal jet is still a pretty sizeable vehicle so you might have to ditch your car to make room for it.

Once in the air, the TriFan 600’s ducted fans rotate forward to allow for smooth forward cruising. You can keep cruising for a comfortable 1,800 miles (roughly 2,900 km), which is the aircraft’s maximum range.

David Brody, founder and chairman of XTI Aircraft, said -“This is an aircraft that has the speed, range, and comfort of a business jet, and takes off and lands like a helicopter.

The personal aircraft can reach a maximum altitude of 39,000 feet and has a top speed of around 390miles per hour. All things considered, this aircraft could very well be the one that starts the personal jet revolution.

What are your thoughts on personal aircraft? Do you think we will all have one in the near future? Let us know in the comment section below.
