Picosteady: Innovative Steadicam For Your iPhone

If you’re looking for a way to get smoother and more fluent video on your iPhone, you will quickly come across some rather expensive contraptions that will keep your iPhone steady. There is a lot of talk on the Internet about how to achieve the same result as some of the expensive solutions with a steadicam rig as they are called. There are quite a few contraptions that you can make yourself, but they will look anything put professional and running around with one of those in public might feel a little dodgy if you want to come across as a professional. I have actually looked for one of these solutions myself but was never able to find one that actually made sense from a price tag point of view.

It seems someone took their braincells and put them in a straight line in order to solve this puzzle once and for all. The solution is called the Picosteady. It’s a budget steadicam that performs as well as any other more pricey steadicam rig. The Picosteady is both lightweight and small in comparison to most other solutions, but that doesn’t mean it will yield any less professional result.

The price tag is probably its strongest benefit since it is set at $139 right now, but that is expected to go up as soon as it comes out of development. The reason for the low price is that you have to pre-order it. It is currently a Kickstarter project that is gaining quite a lot of attention right now, and with good reason. It will come out of its pledge-state in 26 days, which probably means the price will go up at that point as well. So if you want your very own steadicam rig for just $139, head over to the Supraflux LLC Kickstarter page, pledge and you will receive one as soon as it is done and ready to be marketed. This is a great solution that deserves some recognition from both the industry as a whole as well as individual consumers. Simplicity does it!
