Poppy Turns Your iPhone Into A Legit 3D Camera

Apple is currently trying to renew themselves with their latest iOS update. On top of that, they have redesigned the MacPro to attract more customers. I have to say though that I am not too impressed with the new design. It doesn’t allow for hardly any customization once you’ve bought it. Where do you put extra cards if you’re working with music for example? Well, a good thing is that there are external accessories. The Poppy 3D camera accessory is one of those.

The Poppy is somewhat of a new breed of accessories for the iPhone. It’s not a new innovation per say, but it adds a professional feature that was previously not available. This new 3D camera accessory allows you to turn your iPhone into a professional 3D camera which will allow you to take photos as well as record videos in full 3D.

What really sets the Poppy apart from other 3D camera accessories is that it doesn’t run on batteries or anything electronic, it’s all optics. The drawback is of course that you will always need one of these camera accessories to view what you have recorded or taken photos of. However, you will be able to upload your videos and photos to the Internet for other people to use their Poppy 3D cameras to view your stuff in full 3D.

It’s a neat project that seems to be highly popular even though it’s just a startup so far. The Poppy creators are looking for funding right now, and they are looking to raise $40,000 in order to complete their innovation. With 24 days to go, this Kickstarter crowdfunding project has already exceeded $108,000 and counting. Hurry up and pledge in order to get your own Poppy 3D camera iPhone accessory. It’s one of those really cool gadgets that brings the retro together with the future. Watch the video to see how awesome your pictures and videos could actually get with this iPhone accessory.
