Roll-Up Keyboard: Makes Us Return To Scrolls

I sometimes long for the innovative and purpose filled gadgets that we sometimes see released. However, It’s hard to see what is going to change the way we do things online or connect to the Internet, especially when it comes to really neat innovations. The thing is, there are so many gadgets and ideas out there that are only brought to our attention because they are a “cool” gadget to have. They don’t specifically change the way we do things. Sometimes they don’t even really make our lives easier like they are supposed to do, if that makes any sense. Then, of course, there are the gadgets that don’t seem to have any particular purpose at all.

When I stumbled over the Roll-Up Remote Control Speaker Keyboard today, at first I was genuinely excited and interested to see what the heck this thing was. As I watched the short video though, I was kind of brought back to reality. What the heck is this for? Is it a creation to be housed in small spaces where deployable and retractable things are a must in order to make the living space as significant as possible? Is this something for NASA?

As it turns out, none of those things are true. The DN-SKB-MF02 Roll-Up Speaker Keyboard is just a mashup of a keyboard, speakers and an Mp3 player, all bundled into a silver tube that really has no purpose. It’s one of those because-we-can gadgets. Since its use keeps eluding me, I will have to label it a gadget that is created for people who just want it because it is cool. After all, not everyone has a roll-up keyboard at home to brag about. I don’t know if it has any special bragging rights at all actually, or if it even gets any points as far as impressing your friends. However, it’s a gadget that you can have if you want the “cool” in your life. This thing is made available by Donya.
