10 SEO Copywriting Tips That Will Help Your Content Rank [Infographic]

Back when I first started learning about SEO, I thought SEO copywriting just meant stuffing keywords into text. That may or may not have worked years ago, but these days; search engines are much more sophisticated than that. Sure, it’s important to get your keyword in the text of your article, but that’s not all SEO copywriting entails. Since social media plays such a big role in SEO, it’s more important than ever to write for your readers and not the search engines.

After all, it the readers who will be sharing and liking your content in social media, not the search engines. So, with that being said, the number one rule of SEO copywriting is write compelling (not boring) natural (not too many keywords awkwardly stuffed in there) content for your readers, which also happens to be optimized for Google. You’ll also want to focus on the quality of your articles, including the length (300 words or more).

By writing high quality articles, you will attract more linkbacks to your website or blog, and you will start to be viewed as a trustworthy source of information in your niche. Although it may not seem like it’s part of SEO copywriting, it’s also important to build your Google+ profile. Through that, you will gain a reputation through Google Authorship, which will greatly increase your blog or website’s visibility within Google.
