Shredder Clock Allows No Snoozing If You Want To Pay Your Bills

If you’re a heavy sleeper, you know how hard it is to find the right alarm clock to get you up in the morning. A few years ago, the only choices available were either an analog or a digital clock. But today, there are a whole lot of concepts available that will push you out of bed like there is no tomorrow. One of those alarm clocks is the Shredder Clock. It’s a rather obnoxious little piece of technology that has a rather ill-fated scheme up its sleeve if you don’t turn it off immediately.

I don’t know if you remember, but a few weeks ago I wrote an article about an iPhone app that allows you to take a picture of something before you go to bed – the only way to turn that alarm off in the morning is to take a picture of the same thing again. This ultimately means you will have to drag your butt out of bed in order to turn it off. It’s quite a nifty little solution if you ask me.

Well, the Shredder Clock concept goes one step further than that. It actually asks you to put money into it in order to be able to set the alarm. When it goes off in the morning, it won’t give you the opportunity to snooze at all. If you hit the snooze button, you will lose your money to the shredder incorporated into it. So if you want to be able to pay your bills that month, you better get your butt out of bed and get going. All of a sudden sleeping in becomes quite an expensive endeavor. Not only because you lose money not being at work, but because the Shredder Clock will shred your already earned money too.

Of course, this is just a concept idea, but it’s a darn intriguing one. This is most likely never going to become a real consumer’s product since in most countries it’s illegal to destroy money. So for now, even though you would do anything to buy this particular Shredder Clock concept idea, you are stuck with your snooze button and your lazy butt in bed.
