I was a big gamer back in the day, but back then, ten years ago, it was different than it is today. Since then, I’ve kind of lost interest since so much of the games are all about killing and violence.
I agree with what Richard said in his article “The $7,000 Arcade Bowling Game Is Here!” He said, “Today’s scores aren’t as important as kills or frags. It’s like every game released today has an objective and the only way to get there is to kill something or someone.”
So, with that being said, I really don’t know what to make of this controller. I mean, c’mon, it’s creative and all, but is this really necessary? It’s pretty creepy to me, but maybe I’m just getting older and more sensitive to this kind of stuff.
Not only is this “Real Murder” (yes, that is the official name of it) XBox 360 controller painted with blood splatter, but the buttons are 9mm bullets. As if that isn’t enough, it also has an 8-mode rapid-fire modification. Whaaaaaaat? Hmm… What do you think? You can buy one of these controllers here for $125. On the product website it says, “May you lay waste to your enemies and spill their blood in a tribute to your controller’s killing-fashion.” Yeah.
