Vintage Apple Gadgets To Be Displayed In A Temporary Museum [10 Pics]

The jury is still out on whether or not Apple has really lost its cool like Steve Wozniak recently said. I think we set our expectations of that company so high that it makes it almost impossible for them to impress us anymore. If Steve Jobs was still with us, he might even be bold enough to make some sort of sarcastic joke about that. Either way, nobody will ever be able to take away the impact Apple gadgets have had on our lives. This temporary museum of vintage Apple products will celebrate that fact.

I read about this on Mashable, but then realized this museum is going to be set up in Roswell, Georgia which is only 30 minutes outside of Atlanta where I live. I will definitely be checking it out in April. It’s just a pop-up museum (meaning it’s not permanent), and it will feature some rare Apple artifacts that many of us have never seen before IRL.

According to Apple Pop-Up Museum Atlanta, they will feature everything from the original Apple and Lisa computer to the first generation iPod. The website says, “The exhibit displays an exclusive collection of game-changing Apple personal computer and consumer electronics products while presenting the history of the company since its founding in 1976 to the present. An Apple I, the first disk II and controller card, an original Apple II, an original Lisa and a Xerox Alto are among the rare artifacts to be displayed”

You may be wondering where all these vintage Apple gadgets came from for this exhibit. They all belong to one collector who is obviously an Apple lover from way back when. His name is Lonnie Mimms, and he not only collects vintage Apple computers and gadgets, but also any American-made personal computers.

When I look at these pictures below, and I marvel over all these vintage Apple memories, I can start to piece together their inspiring history. Their history is a sequence of events and products that just continued to get better and better throughout the years. They always kept moving forward without ever looking back. We don’t know what Apple’s future holds, but Apple’s past is something that will continue to inspire people for generations to come.
