Book Landscapes: Displaying The Alien World Of Books

The intricate adventures of books and the way they make us imagine an alternate reality is profound in many ways. This is true not only because it gives us a chance to get lost in a world we’ve never been in, but also because it does so by using simple words connected to a story. I don’t know how many times I have dug myself into a book only to find that I am completely lost in the story and unable to put it down. It doesn’t matter if it is an epic adventure or just a biography, it gives us a chance to experience something else through someone else’s words and thoughts. However, there is another side of books that I can assure you that you haven’t seen before.

It comes to us in a way that we have never experienced, not even close. It’s the artwork created by Guy Laramee, and you will marvel over the detail and the untouchable reality it displays. I have been so sure that I would never see anything more epic than what we have featured before here on Bit Rebels when it comes to book art, but these are just beyond description. They are mesmerizing, and I can’t help but have the urge to have one on my own book shelf  just to have the possibility to dream myself away into the alien world of books.

This book landscape artwork is cut out from the body of one or more books. It is stunningly detailed, and it gives a sense of an alien world in many cases. I also get a hint of some inspiration from the massive scenes in The Lord of The Rings in many of them. Maybe it is the lighting and the details displayed, or just a random connection my brain managed to pull together. Either way, there’s nothing else I can say about these books since my jaw just dropped to the floor and my head is spinning out of sheer wonderment. This is the kind of art that blows my mind whenever I stumble upon it.
