Creative Color Collages Made From Trash On The Beach

We’ve written a lot of articles on Bit Rebels about recycled trash. It almost seems like over the past year or so it’s become stylish and vogue to recycle trash. I love that because any steps we can take to clean up our environment is a step in the right direction.

I don’t know about you, but whenever I see trash on the side of the road or on the sidewalk, it makes me sad because it represents a blatant disrespect for our environment. Since I live in on a busy street in a big city, there are a lot of people who walk passed my house each day. They often leave Styrofoam cups on my mailbox and garbage on the grass for me to clean up, but I don’t mind.

Trash on the beach is especially heart breaking to me since the oceans and beaches are some of the earth’s most beautiful places. Once we’ve ruined those, we can’t just make more. I think it is so important to be aware of each little piece of trash we leave behind when we visit those places. I remember when I wrote about the world’s first hotel made from trash found on the beach. It was a fun article to write, and when looking at that little building, you’d never guess it was made from trash. Liz Jones of Betty Jo Designs also understands this. She collects trash from the beach near her home in Melbourne and uses it to create these creative color wheels. It seems from these pictures that a lot of people leave lighters, plastic spoons and bottle tops on the beach.
