Yesterday, for the first time, I noticed that we are in the last month of the summer here in Atlanta. It’s starting to get dark just a little earlier than it did a month ago. Instead of being 100 degrees or more, today it’s only 90 degrees. I realize that if I plan to write about any more summery articles, I’d better do it now before it’s all gone.
Nothing symbolizes summertime in the South much more than ice cream, especially drippy, messy, make-your-hands-sticky ice cream in a cone. These photos, taken by Jonathon Kambouris from Brooklyn, aren’t just about ice cream. They are also apparently about beautifully manicured fingernails because in each photo, you’ll see a different nail design also. I really like the effect that each one of these photographs has. I couldn’t find what that is called, but I’m sure one of our photographer readers will know.
These photographs are almost as creative as these shoes inspired by ice cream cones. I like the whole manicure theme he added too. Actually, now that I think about it, this would be a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon, a fresh manicure and a trip to the ice cream parlor. I like it Jonathon! Now if I can just find a way to eat it before it all melts.
