Google Search Console And Google Analytics Verification

Publishers may optionally connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics through Google OAuth to verify website ownership or authorised access and to provide verified performance information for websites submitted to Bit Rebels.

When a publisher chooses to connect these Google services, Bit Rebels requests read-only access only.

Depending on the permissions granted by the publisher, we may access:

Google Search Console

  • Search Console properties available to the connected Google account
  • Website verification status
  • Clicks
  • Impressions
  • Click-through rate (CTR)
  • Average search position

Google Analytics

  • Google Analytics properties associated with the connected account
  • Users
  • Sessions
  • Page views
  • Engagement metrics
  • Other read-only website traffic metrics available through the authorised Google Analytics APIs

This information is used solely to:

  • Verify that the publisher has authorised access to submitted websites
  • Display verified website statistics within the marketplace
  • Improve trust and transparency for clients reviewing publisher websites
  • Improve marketplace quality
  • Prevent fraudulent website submissions

Google Search Console and Google Analytics connections are entirely optional.

Publishers may continue using the Service without connecting Google services, although verified websites may display additional verified statistics.

Bit Rebels never uses Google APIs to:

  • Modify websites
  • Modify Search Console settings
  • Modify Google Analytics settings
  • Submit sitemaps
  • Change indexing
  • Add or remove users
  • Create, edit, or delete Analytics properties
  • Perform actions on behalf of the publisher beyond retrieving authorised read-only information
