I could live in a treehouse. I mean it, I really could! It would be like being on a permanent camping trip. I could fish for trout, hike in the woods and sleep under the stars every night. Of course, it would have to be a treehouse with a fast Internet connection and a kickin computer setup, or all bets are off. A girl has to have her standards you know. *wink*
I’ve written about treehouses before because they are always so dreamy to me. If you like to read about treehouses too, you can check out the world’s largest treehouse, or my favorite seductive treehouse (which is a photography installation, not a real treehouse unfortunately).
Although I’ve never had the pleasure of building a treehouse of my own, I think it would be like building a regular house, only a lot more fun. I would think very carefully about every aspect of the design including the staircase, the lighting, the windows and the access (only people with the secret password would be allowed in). If you built one, would you want it high in a tree or closer to the ground? Would you want it near water in a secluded forest or in your backyard? Here are ten treehouses from around the world that I wanted to share with you. Some are fabulously built treehouses, and some are simply inspiring pictures of treehouses taken by very talented photographers. Either way, I hope they take you back to your childhood like they did for me.
