Fabulous and Colorful Umbrella Art

What is the purpose of an umbrella? To me, it’s to shield myself from the rain. To the artists that created the umbrella installations below, it’s to create beautiful and sophisticated artwork. We love featuring art that is unexpected and unique.

I look back at all of the umbrellas I’ve lost over the years and I wonder now what I could have done with them from an artistic perspective. What a great way to recycle a broken umbrella! I love it when artists are so creative that they can take everyday common items from around the house and create something gorgeous like this. These installations are being displayed all over the world in shopping malls and villages. Umbrellas are being used to decorate houses, buildings and even landscapes. I really don’t think I will be able to look at an umbrella the same way again. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!
