What do you do if you are a photographer, and you want to take some really unique, creative shots without spending a lot of money? After all, photography can be an expensive hobby if you aren’t careful, right?
One thing you can do is spend a very small amount of money on something that creates a nice visual, like in the example below, ribbon (streamers) and confetti. Then, using that as your main prop, you create scenes that are interesting and emotional, scenes that make your audience do a double take. Surprisingly, this effect doesn’t cost a lot of money to achieve; it just requires some creative thinking and ingenuity.
These particular photographs were taken by Laetitia Chretien and Sebastien Zanin for Clark Magazine #40. From what I’ve read, these photos are supposed to portray “the day after a big party.” Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time I’ve written about colorful puke. If you would like to see more, check out this rainbow colored vomit. I don’t consider myself to be a photographer, although, I love taking pictures. It’s one of my favorite hobbies, and I’m always fascinated when I see what passionate photographers can do.
This reminds me of a project that my very dear Twitter friend @NiniBaseema started with a bunch of other wonderful friends and followers from all kinds of social media sites including Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. It’s the One Selfportrait A Day – 2011 project. Each one of the photographers will take one photograph each day of themselves to document their entire year, which is a small sliver of their life. I am so excited to follow this! If you would like more information about it, you can contact @NiniBaseema on Twitter.
