I’m on the Internet almost all day long. For those of you who actually have a life, I pride myself on bringing you the coolest most useful inventions quickly so that you don’t have to sit in front of your computer as much as I do.
However, this brilliant invention somehow slipped through my fingers. It has apparently been around for about a year now, but I just found out about it today. Thanks to this article in USA Today a few days ago, I finally got on board. Ladies, how many times have you worn a beautiful pair of heels in grass only to have your style and your shoes ruined when your heel sunk down in the grass? I can’t even count how many times this has happened to me.
I remember this happened to me at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo when I was playing croquet. If you are familiar with croquet, you know it is traditional to wear all white. I was dressed in all white with a smokin hot pair of pink heels that got completely destroyed from the heel sinking into the grass. Also, when I attended the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta a few years ago, the same thing happened. And, I can’t tell you how many times it’s happened when I’ve been to the polo matches in my hometown in South Carolina. So, what’s a girl to do? Dress frumpy and let the soft grass win? No Cosmo girl I know would be satisfied with that answer!
Now there is an ingenious product called SoleMates, which is a little “heel cap” that attaches to the heel of your shoe. According to the website, “By increasing the surface area on the base of the heel, it reduces the pressure on this area and prevents the heel from sinking into grass or falling into cracks!”
Suddenly the skies have opened up, and I’ve seen a glimpse of heaven…
