There are so many calamities that we see happening around us everyday. It saddens me every time I see people getting hurt and people dying, properties being destroyed by natural disasters. I believe it is just mother nature warning us to take care of what we have now.
Sometimes we get so carried away with our everyday life that we forget that we need to take care of our world, considering that it is the only one we have. Even just doing small things can actually make a big impact.
Recycle – Consider segregating your Trash from now on. Use cloth bags to carry your groceries. Save Natural Resources – Making sure that there are no leaks saves a lot of water. Don’t let your faucet run while brushing your teeth or washing dishes. Plant trees. These simple things that we take for granted can actually help in a big way.
I am sure a lot of you have already seen the videos that I have included here. It is National Geographic’s “The World Is Just Awesome” campaign. I love the way it was done. Having people from all parts of the world join in and share the beauty of their own worlds. It reminds me of how awesome our planet is and that we must do our part to make sure it will be here for future generations.
