While the Super Bowl is still a long way off, that won’t stop people from making predictions on it. Super Bowl 58 will take place in February in Las Vegas in what should be the biggest show the sport has seen.
Several frontrunners have already appeared, but there are always lots of surprises throughout the season as the best teams go head-to-head.

San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are currently the favorites to win the Super Bowl, according to sportsbooks. They’ve gone on an unbeaten run so far, winning every game since the start of the season. While we’re only in week five right now, there’s a good chance they’ll extend this run further.
There’s no denying that the 49ers have one of the best rosters in the league, with Brandon Aiyuk, Nick Bosa, and Brock Purdy all looking strong so far. Aside from that, things are just going well for them.
Should they manage to avoid injuries to key players, it’ll be hard to look past the 49ers, at least ending the season as NFC champions.
Detroit Lions
The Lions have exceeded all expectations so far this season, and some have tipped them as outsiders to win the Super Bowl.
Starting off with their impressive win over the Chiefs in week 1, they’ve only lost a single game so far, and it was a close game against the Seahawks.
Dan Campbell has gone from strength to strength since being appointed as head coach in 2021. He’s showing why he has all the makings of a top coach this season and has instilled a real belief in the team.
Aside from that, this Lions’ defense is one of the best in the league.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles were the team to beat last season, going 14-3 and winning the NFC. They were favorites going into Super Bowl 57 but fell short after a strong first half against the Chiefs. This season, they have a chance to go again. As general manager Howie Roseman said, “We’re not starting from scratch.” Of course, they’ve lost some key players, but they’ve managed to replace them and look better than ever.
The Eagles have a strong roster capable of reaching the Super Bowl, and this time, they’ll have more motivation not to let it fall out of their grasp. Starting the season, the Eagles are in great form, also going unbeaten in their first five games.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are the defending champions, and most fans expected them to hit the ground running this season. They lost a close game against the Lions on the opening day of the season, but since then, they’ve won all of their games.
The odds may have lengthened on them to win Super Bowl 58, but it would be unwise to count them out.
There’s no denying that the Chiefs have an incredibly strong roster. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce look to be an unstoppable partnership, with the Chiefs’ only loss so far being a game where Kelce wasn’t available.
This roster has all the talent and experience to win the most coveted trophy in football once more.
