Online games of chance have risen in popularity in the last few years. One of the most recent additions to the online industry is the Lottery in West Virginia, where you can now play all your favorite Lotteries, such as Powerball jackpot and Mega Millions, alongside Scratch-Offs and other draw games from anywhere you have internet access.
But with so many games to choose from online, join us as we uncover some of the most popular.

Powerball
Powerball is a multi-state game that gets drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. It costs just two dollars to play, but if you want to try your chances with a 10 times multiplier, you can deposit an extra dollar.
You can try your chances on Powerball from the West Virginia Lottery mobile app, a paper play slip from your local retail location, or on Lottery vending machines.
If you decide to play on a land-based paper play slip, you must ensure you use blue or black ink pens or a pencil to mark off your chosen numbers. A void box is at the bottom if you make a mistake.
You’ll have the option to play one game or up to five games on one slip. However, there’s a ‘Power Play’ option should you wish to use these same numbers for up to 24 other games.
To play, pick five numbers between one and 69, and one number between one and 26 for the Powerball. If you’re not sure which numbers to pick, you can get the computer to select them randomly for you, using the ‘quick pick’ box.
There are nine ways to win the game depending on the variation of drawn numbers that you have matching on your ticket.
Mega Millions
Drawn twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday, Mega Millions also costs two dollars to play. An extra dollar per play, per drawing, the Megaplier multiplies any winnings from two to five times your bet.
Like the other Lottery games, you can play using the mobile app, a paper play slip, or a vending machine in select locations.
If you choose a physical ticket, you should not use a red pen. Again, you can select ‘multi-draw’ and have your chosen numbers valid for up to 24 plays consecutively. Remember, this will cost an extra dollar per play.
On the payslip, you’ll need to pick five numbers between one and 70, and one number ranging between one to 25 for the Megaball.
You could also let the computer pick your numbers for you by marking the ‘quick pick’ box for that play.
You could win by matching only the Mega Ball, by matching the Mega Ball with any of the first five numbers, or by matching at least three of the first five numbers without the Mega Ball.
Or, if you’re only interested in the jackpot, you can deposit three dollars for two ‘quick pick’ plays for ‘Just the Jackpot’. These will only be valid for the next jackpot draw.
With so many ways to try your chances online, do you think you’ll be giving some of these Lottery games a go?
