Geeky, Gaudy & Gigantic Pixel Mouse Earrings

To all you people who love using Windows, but you won’t admit it, you will adore these earrings! I love them too, but I can’t remember the last time I turned on my PC – no really! I mean that. You don’t believe me? Well, let’s just say if I had these pixel mouse earrings which obviously look like the classic Windows hand icon, I would wear them (yes, in public) with pride.

First of all, let me back up for a moment and tell you that there really is such a thing as a pixel mouse. One of these days, a computer mouse will be considered retro, but until then, you might want to consider this cutie. The one I found on Perpetual Kid is only 20 bucks. It’s a USB pixel mouse with two buttons and a scroll-wheel. It would be a great way to bring some bright sunny smiles to an otherwise mundane workday that needs some geeky flair.

Or, instead of buying that mouse, you could just contact Jacquie at JacquieLongLegs and ask her if you can borrow these pixel mouse earrings which she made for herself before she realized the holes in her ears had closed-up. That reminds me of when I was 14-years-old. The scene in my house went something like this…

“Mom, can I get a second hole pierced in my ears?”
“No, absolutely not. Now eat your Brussels sprouts.”
“You can’t tell me what to do because I’m almost an adult.”
“Diana, don’t you talk back to me.”

The rest of the story involves a rusty metal pin, a mostly melted ice cube and a bathroom sink full of blood. To this day, I have that stupid closed-up second hole littering each of my earlobes. The moral of the story is… Your mama knows best. Now go give her a hug.
