R2-D2 Droid Gatorade Dispenser (Basically Drink R2's Pee)

So many people are inspired by R2-D2, and I am too. He’s got to be the world’s favorite droid, and every Star Wars fan I know would probably love to have an R2-D2 droid at home. He would be a perfect friend. He’s loveable and tough, all at the same time. I couldn’t even begin to count how many artistic R2-D2 droid creations we have featured over the years because it’s simply too many. Someday maybe I’ll have the time to compile them all into one article so we can see the entire collection. A few that I remember as being some of the best are the R2-D2 Guitar, the R2-D2 Coffee Maker and the R2-D2 USB Flash Drive Cufflinks.

Today I’d like to share with you another R2-D2 droid creation, and this time it’s a drink dispenser made from a protein drink mix container, a huge water pistol, some cardboard and a few other simple do-dads. Keep in mind, the fact that this creative contraption makes it look like you’ll be drinking R2’s electric blue robot pee doesn’t take away from the geeky awesomeness of the design itself (although it may take away from the taste of your Gatorade).

This was created by three Star Wars geeks named Matt Fuchs, Jessica Garcia and Zach Hyder. The best part is, they put their entire detailed tutorial on Instructables so anyone can make this. Well, anyone who is familiar with soldering, sawing and drilling with a Dremel. I have to admit, this project seems like it would be a lot of work, but if you are the ultimate R2 fan, you will probably love every minute of it. So I’d like to raise a toast of blue Gatorade pee to salute this team of Star Wars geeks and R2-D2. Here’s to a successful project, you all did such a great job.
