My perception of crayons has completely changed over the past year. After seeing these Star Wars crayon carvings, these insane colorful crayon carvings and now these bride and groom crayon carvings, well, let’s just say an ordinary crayon will never again look ordinary to me.
A groom named John commissioned crayon sculptor Diem Chau to carve these for his bride, Jessica. He presented them to her as a secret wedding gift. This is such a thoughtful romantic gift, and I just love it! I’m sure she will treasure these crayons forever.
If you look closely, you’ll see that Diem put a lot of attention into the details. The groom secretly gave Diem a photograph of his bride in her dress so he could make her crayon as realistic as possible. I like how he included a lovely flower in her hair, her geeky glasses, and the details on the back of her wedding dress. The groom, John, had long curly hair before he got married, but he cut it for the wedding. According to Diem’s blog, it’s a shame because he was really looking forward to carving his long curly hair. What a beautiful keepsake. We wish the newlyweds many long years of happiness!
