Many people want to be more active. Spending time outside is a great way to meet that goal! However, it’s often a goal that becomes forgotten over time. Whether it is due to scheduling, the weather, or other factors, you may be struggling to get time outside. If this is a problem you encounter, here are a few ways to get outdoors and enjoy nature more.

Schedule Outdoor Activities
It’s much easier to stick to a plan of being outside if you have a plan in place. For example, you can schedule your time outdoors like you would any activity, or if you need an outdoor travel truck, get the Rockwood RV. Decide for yourself a time to be in the outdoors, and then put it in your planner. Once you have it set in your schedule, you’re going to be much more likely to stick with it.
You can increase your chances of sticking with the plan if you are scheduling your activities with friends or family. For example, scheduling a hike with friends instead of going by yourself. This will make it harder to cancel. If most of your friends aren’t outdoorsy, look into local groups or clubs that engage in such things. Sign up for one that sounds good, and you’ll have a much better time.
Engage In Enjoyable Outdoor Activities
If you hate hiking, then you probably won’t want to spend your time doing so. However, if you enjoy sports, such as football or soccer, find a league and do it! Don’t schedule your time doing what you hate. Not only will you start to avoid your activities, but you’ll also find that you develop more of a dislike for things. Instead, find an activity or several that you would want to do on a regular basis. Making this a fun part of your day will keep you motivated.
Vary Your Routine
Some people find that they like to be schedule-oriented. Think about the person that jogs around the block every morning. This could definitely be your routine, but you may, in fact, get a little bored if you do the same activity day in and day out. Instead, think of new ways to challenge yourself that take you out of your normal routine.
One great option is to sign up for specific one-time activities or try new sports out. If you want to try rock climbing, why not sign up for a rock climbing course that takes place in nature? If you enjoy going to your daily spin classes, sign up for a bike race. Regardless of what you choose to do, make sure that you don’t fall into a boring routine.
These are some of the best ways to motivate yourself to get off the couch and go outside. Keep in mind that you have to make this time something to look forward to. These are some ideas to use when you’re just getting started.
