As we pointed out in the recent article entitled How To Pimp Your Smartphone Celebrity Style, $497 million dollars were spent on phone accessories in the United States in the past 9 months. Phone accessories are big business, and a large percentage of that is in cases and covers.
I always admire the creativity of Japanese designers because they make things that definitely have shock value to those of us who don’t live there. Their creations are fun to look at and definitely original. These delicious iPhone covers are no different. I’ve never before seen iPhone covers that look so good I want to eat them, which is why I had to feature them today on Bit Rebels.
This first case is spectacular because each piece of rice is handmade and looks unbelievably realistic. The meat on top of the rice is Unagi, which combined with the rice, is a very expensive meal in Japan. It’s perfectly seasoned and cooked eel carefully laid on a bed of steamed white rice. Nom nom! This case becomes available next month for about 50 bucks (3,990 JPY). The only down side to this I see is that the camera on the phone won’t work unless you remove the cover. You can pick one up over at Strapya-World.
