It’s that time of year again…the time when many of us make a long list of all the ways we want to make our lives better over the coming year. We’ll start out strong today, we’ll continue tomorrow, and then next week we’ll be back to our old habits. It’s like we purposely set ourselves up for failure or something. New year resolutions are always a bit of a challenge for me, but this year, I’ve decided to keep it simple. I want to do whatever it takes to maintain my happiness personally and professionally. That’s it. I figure if I can do that, everything else will fall into place naturally.
If you prefer to make more specific new year resolutions, you may have decided you are going to eat healthier, lose weight, learn yoga, travel more or even blog more. If you are looking for a creative way to remember those resolutions over the next week before we forget them all for good, maybe you ought to consider baking a batch of cookies which spells them out.
These tasty looking new year resolution cookies were created by Abeer, the blogger at Cake Whiz. You can click over to her site for the recipe and tutorial so you can create your own. You could even make several batches of these and then each time you do something to work towards one of your resolutions, you could eat the cookie.
Hey, it’s one way to remember them, right? I suppose if one of your new year resolutions is to eat less sugar (or lose weight), you might want to try to remember them in a different way than by writing the words on cookies with icing. Happy new year!
