I am convinced that every food in the world has a cupcake version of it. It doesn’t matter what it is. Even non-food things have cupcake versions of them. We’ve featured everything from cheesy pepperoni pizza cupcakes to high heel cupcakes. There’s just no end to what you can do with a cupcake. It’s true! You can even put your entire turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and the rest of your traditional American Thanksgiving dinner on top of a cupcake (see Thanksgiving Cupcakes), but what about your favorite coffee? Is it possible to get your favorite coffee in cupcake form? It is for mine! These Caramel Macchiato cupcakes look even more delicious than the coffee itself.
The people who know me well know I am in love with the Caramel Macchiatos from Starbucks. It is a coffee drink that is truly to die for, and when I saw this cupcake recipe on Instructables, I knew I had to try it. Instructables member cakeyou writes, “The cupcake is a chocolate espresso cake filled with an espresso cream, and topped with caramel buttercream frosting and caramel drizzle.” Wow. I can already tell this is going to be one of those cupcakes that makes me lose all self control, and I don’t even care.
When I was scooting around the Internet today, I also found a recipe for Caramel Macchiato Pudding if that’s more your style. It’s basically a recipe which takes Jello pudding and dresses it up with espresso powder and whipped cream. Yum! If you’d like to make these cupcakes for yourself, just click over to Caramel Macchiato Cupcakes to get the full recipe and tutorial. Don’t forget to get a Caramel Macchiato coffee from Starbucks to sip while you eat your cupcake. It would be the perfect combination. Delish!
