People who are close to me know that I doodle a lot. I always have a Moleskine or a drawing pad handy. I also carry a mechanical pencil. It is so convenient because you don’t have to sharpen it. I can draw all day, and having to sharpen a pencil is just too much hassle. I really liked Richard’s article about a pencil that never needs sharpening: Draw or Write Forever; The Pencil That Never Ends! If you are like me, you will probably also like this pen that I have recently discovered.
This inkless metal pen features a special metal alloy tip. As you write, tiny amounts of this metal are deposited onto the page. The silvery markings may resemble pencil, but they are permanent and completely smudge-proof. Because it doesn’t require sharpening or refills, the inkless metal pen is an amazing gift for artists or doodlers. Its “ink” is solid, so it will never leak, and it can be used upside down or under extreme conditions. The inkless metal pen works on most any writing surface and features a stainless steel barrel. I guess the only drawback would be that if you make a mistake, you wouldn’t be able to erase your drawing.
