Toilet Paper Holder For Techies: It Doubles As A Bathroom iPad Stand

This is definitely a toilet paper holder for techies. People love to use their gadgets in the bathroom. Several different research projects over the past year have come to the same result, which is that the loo is a good place to tweet, update your Facebook status or just check email. I’ve written about it many times, and the fact that 19% of people have dropped their smartphones in the toilet even further supports our bathroom habits.

It seems our favorite bathroom device is a smartphone, but if you prefer to use your tablet in the bathroom instead, this toilet paper holder might be for you. I have a close friend who uses an iPad while bathing often, and apparently it can be an inspiring activity. This is a toilet paper holder that doubles as an iPad stand. Not only that, but since it can pivot your iPad into just the right place, you’ll be comfortable enough to stay in there and leisurely surf for as long as you’d like.

The chrome pedestal will add a little pizzazz to your bathroom decor. Your iPad mounts on a metal gooseneck tube so it can adjust to any position you’d like. On top of all that, you’ll have your toilet paper handy beneath it for when you’re all finished in there. This little beauty of a contraption is for sale on Amazon for $45. I know, it’s a bit pricey. As we always say, it ain’t cheap being a geek.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a design that caters to our technology addiction while we’re in the bathroom. I remember these very cool Social Media Mirrors from about a year ago. At the rate we’re going, our toilets themselves will have a touchscreen incorporated into them before long. If you buy this toilet paper holder, you might want to use a little of that paper to clean your iPad before you leave the bathroom. I mean, just to be on the safe side.
