Haven’t you always wanted to know what it would be like to get eaten by a bear in Alaska? Don’t you want to know what you would see right before being mauled apart? Well, I’m not that morbid to show you someone being ripped apart, but this is probably the next best thing. You are about to get up close and personal with the inside of a grizzly bear’s mouth. As you’ll see, she could really use a trip to the dentist. Here is the story behind this amazing footage…
Brad Josephs took his GoPro camera to Alaska to film the grizzly bears while he was there guiding a Natural Habitat trip. He is famous for the footage he captures for the BBC show called Great Bear Stakeout. They ended up using this footage in that show. The day this was filmed, he had secured his camera to a rock with a rubber band, and then he let it start filming.
Along came a mother grizzly bear with her cub. They tried to eat Brad’s camera, but if you look more closely, it almost looks as if they were playing with it. One of the bears came right at the camera with her full mouth open. I don’t have to tell you that this offers a very rare glimpse into the mouth of a bear in Alaska. It may not have been the footage Brad originally intended to get, but it sure turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Believe it or not, Brad’s camera didn’t get damaged at all!
So, if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be eaten by a bear in Alaska, here ya go. This definitely goes down on my list of bad ways to die (after being burned to death and attacked by a shark). If you skip to :46 in this video, you’ll see the money shot. Open up wide!
