TikTok has taken you around the world for work — can you share some of the most exciting opportunities you’ve had because of the platform?
TikTok has truly been a passport of opportunity, opening doors I never imagined possible. One of the most memorable experiences was being flown to Thailand as one of TikTok’s ‘Visionary Voices’ for Mardi Gras and World Pride.
It connected me with the global LGBTQIA+ community and gave me the chance to share my story on an international stage. TikTok didn’t just support me — it empowered me to celebrate who I am, while being part of something so much bigger.
Another surreal moment? Interviewing Zendaya — someone I’ve admired for years. That opportunity came from TikTok and Warner Bros, who noticed the Euphoria-inspired content I’d created. I was also invited by TikTok to attend the Wicked movie premiere, where I met Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Being trusted to represent TikTok at events like these has been incredibly affirming and motivating in my journey as a creator.
Hitting over one million followers was another major milestone. Having such a large and engaged audience has helped me share my passions, build a recognisable name, and form real connections with people who genuinely care.
Because of everything TikTok made possible, I launched my own podcast — Psst, Private Talk — something I’d always dreamed of but never had the confidence to pursue until TikTok helped me find my voice. I’ve also started exploring acting, a passion reignited by the exposure and opportunities TikTok gave me.
What started as posting fun videos has evolved into a career filled with creativity, purpose, and endless possibilities. TikTok didn’t just give me a platform — it gave me momentum to chase dreams I hadn’t even dared to say out loud.
Interviewing Zendaya is a dream for many — how did that opportunity come about, and what was the most memorable part of the experience?
It came about thanks to the Euphoria-inspired content I had been creating. TikTok and Warner Bros reached out after seeing the community I’d built around it — which was wild to me. Being recognised by platforms and brands I’ve long admired was incredibly surreal.
The highlight was absolutely getting to meet and talk with Zendaya. I’ve looked up to her for years, and that moment felt completely euphoric (pun intended). I actually talked about it on my podcast, Psst, Private Talk, in the episode titled Interviewing Zendaya. I explained how celebrities have always felt more like a distant concept to me — untouchable. So to be face to face with her, to have a real conversation, and to realise she knew who I was in that moment… it was an out-of-body experience.
That moment reminded me that creating with authenticity and passion can open the most unexpected doors. It’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
You became the face of Mardi Gras through TikTok! What did that role mean to you, and how did it feel to represent such a major event?
It meant everything. Being one of the faces of Mardi Gras through TikTok wasn’t just a career milestone — it was deeply personal. I spent so much of my life struggling to accept myself. There were times when I felt I had to shrink who I was just to fit in. I never imagined a day where I’d be celebrated — let alone on a global platform — for simply being me.
To now be a visible figure for young people who are still figuring themselves out is incredibly powerful. I wish I had someone like that to look up to when I was younger — someone who showed that it’s not just okay, but beautiful, to be exactly who you are.
Looking back, I know my younger self would be proud. Proud that we made it through the fear and doubt — and proud that today, I get to be the light for others that I once needed. Mardi Gras wasn’t just about visibility. It was about healing, celebration, and honoring every version of myself that brought me to this moment.
Your “Pierreverse” characters have gained global recognition. How did TikTok help shape and expand your creative universe?
Honestly, without TikTok, there wouldn’t be an audience for my “silly little characters.” What started as a fun creative outlet evolved into something far bigger. TikTok gave me visibility and reach — allowing my content to transcend my immediate circle, my city, even my country. Now, I get recognised overseas while on holiday. It still blows my mind that people know my name, connect with my characters, and genuinely get this weird little universe I’ve built.
In the beginning, the “Pierreverse” was super local — filled with Australian pop culture and niche references. But as my audience grew internationally, the stories evolved too. The references broadened, the characters deepened, and the universe expanded beyond me. It became a place where people from all over the world could laugh, relate, and escape into something fun.
TikTok gave me more than an audience — it gave me a playground to experiment, grow, and turn a chaotic world in my head into something millions now enjoy. That’s something I’ll never take for granted.
You’ve worked closely with Meta, testing new features — what was that experience like, and how did it impact your content creation?
It’s been amazing. Being trusted to test features before they’re released publicly is a huge privilege. It made me feel recognised — not just as a content creator, but as someone contributing to the evolution of digital storytelling.
Early access means I can explore tools creatively and intentionally, giving me a head start on how to use them in ways that surprise and engage my audience. It helps keep my content fresh and polished when new features finally roll out.
What’s even more rewarding is being part of the behind-the-scenes conversations. Seeing how much care goes into building tools for creators reminds me that we’re not just reacting to trends — we’re helping shape them.
Being featured on Meta’s Creator account is a big deal! How did that recognition influence your growth and opportunities?
It was a huge milestone. Being featured on Meta’s Creator account solidified my presence as an established voice in the digital space. It wasn’t just a spotlight — it was validation.
When a platform as influential as Meta highlights your work, it reassures you that your content matters. Even in moments of burnout or self-doubt, that recognition proves someone’s watching — and that your voice does have impact.
It also opened the door to new opportunities. It gave me added credibility in the eyes of brands and collaborators and reminded me why I started in the first place. It was a boost of encouragement to keep going and keep creating.
With your success across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, what advice would you give to aspiring creators looking to build a unique brand?
As cliché as it sounds: be yourself. It’s tempting to chase trends or create what you think people want to see, and that might work temporarily — but it won’t be fulfilling without real connection.
What truly makes a difference is sharing content that reflects you — your interests, your humor, your voice. When you create from that place, you naturally attract an audience that resonates with your authenticity.
Also, remember: the journey isn’t linear. I’ve experienced low views, burnout, comparison, self-doubt — the whole lot. But what matters most is consistency, not perfection. Keep showing up. Keep creating, even when it feels like no one’s watching. That persistence is what keeps you in the game — and eventually, the right people and the right opportunities will come.
