This has been all over the Internet the past 12 hours, and it’s so creative that it deserves a place here on Bit Rebels too. We’ve written probably a dozen articles about how to write an effective resume and how to make your resume stand out from the rest. Resumes are normally dull and boring, and these days, you really have to be creative to catch an employer’s attention. Philippe Dubost figured this out in the best way ever via a fake Amazon page resume.
That’s right! He created his online resume so that it looks exactly like an Amazon page. It’s done very well, and just the fact that he did this obviously shows any potential employer what his skill set and creativity can produce. He even included references in the space where the product reviews would normally be. So smart!
I hope someone hires this guy quick. With all the attention his Amazon page resume has gotten online since it’s gone viral, I’m sure a lot of eyeballs have seen it. He says he’ll update his Twitter with any results that come from it. I couldn’t fit his entire Amazon page resume in the screenshot image below, but you can click over to phildub to see it for yourself. If you want to hire Philippe, just add him to your shopping cart. There’s only one Philippe left in stock, so you’ll have to order him soon.
If you are in the process of putting together your own creative resume, perhaps this will inspire you. I hope you can come up with an idea as awesome as this one. I have to wonder though, where did he get this idea in the first place? Does someone just wake up in the morning and say, “I think I’ll make my resume look like an Amazon page?” Regardless, it’s brilliant!
