Another, perhaps more well-known, money-making idea came from Alex Tew in 2005 who wanted to find a way to pay for his college education. His idea? Well, you might have heard of The Million Dollar Homepage, the site that made people aware of the money-making potentials of the Internet. The whole concept was simple. Setup a website with one million pixels and sell them as ad space for one dollar per pixel. The website launched on 26 August 2005, and the last 1,000 pixels were auctioned off on eBay on 1 January 2006 for $38,100 making the total money earned a whopping $1,037,100.
As you can see, if you have an idea never sit on it. Launch it and see what it can do. It’s better to check out the potential of your idea than to keep wondering for the rest of your life whether it was any good or not.
