Banana Carvings of Zombies, Superheroes & Dragons

I’m surprised that I even get surprised anymore when I scour the Internet everyday looking for interesting finds that aren’t the same old stuff we are used to seeing. I find unusual designs and ideas to be intriguing, and I write about that kind of thing often. On Bit Rebels we’ve featured some of the oddest most mind twisting WTF stuff out there, and I’m proud of that.

However, today, once again I’m humbled to say that I’ve found something yet again that makes me go, “Whaaaaaat?” There is an artist out there that makes banana carvings. That doesn’t sound too unusual, right? How about this… these banana carvings are of dragons, zombies and superheroes. Still not surprised? Just look at the pictures below, then you’ll understand, and you’ll know exactly what I mean.

I love eating bananas. I wonder if this artist ever started carving and then got hungry and ate his or her design? I wonder what kind of instrument is used to get these precise lines? I wonder if the banana itself has to be a certain ripeness for it all to look right in the end? I wonder what happens to the bananas after they go bad? I wonder if there really is a monster under my bed? Opps… got off track there for a second. I have so many questions about this artwork. Too bad I can’t read this website where it all originated to get the answers.
