If you live in the States, you know that the biggest football of the year is coming up, and I can’t wait! Go New York Giants! Don’t call me, email me, tweet me or text me that night. My eyeballs will be glued to that game from start to finish. Most people I know will be going to a Superbowl party that evening, and there will be celebrations all over the country I’m sure.
Two classic party foods we often see at Superbowl parties are chicken wings and cupcakes. When I saw this recipe that combines both, it was like the sky opened up, and I got a glimpse of heaven. These are not a joke, and of course, that is not your typical cupcake.
These were created by Stef, the blogger and mad food scientist behind Cupcake Project. The cake part of these cupcakes has hot sauce and blue cheese in it. The frosting is a blue cheese buttercream frosting. Stef says that the cupcakes are sweet, but in a cornbread kind of way, not in a dessert kind of way. Although seeing this chicken wing plopped in the frosting may look strange, just think of it as dipping your wing into blue cheese, and suddenly it all makes sense. These would typically be served as an appetizer, or if you are like me, you’d just down two or three of them for your meal.

It’s a skill everyone should learn, well, I mean, if you want to be cool and all. :)
