Colorful My Little Pony Inspired Cosplay Costume Wigs & Tails

Apparently the horses from the television series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic are becoming a popular theme among cosplayers. Although I’ve never dressed as a horse, I can understand why people would like it. Colorful, happy, sparkly ponies are sexy, right? Well, maybe not, but wearing some costume wigs and tails can be. If you don’t believe me, check out these beasty wild animal tails and ears, and you’ll see what I mean. They actually look good!

So, if you are a My Little Pony fan, and if you want to take your turn and dress up as a unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie, I’ve got just the thing for you.

Erin, who runs the Etsy store called GimmCat, creates the most incredible My Little Pony inspired costume wigs and tails. She adds her own style to each wig, and the colors match the manes of the ponies perfectly. It’s important to practice proper costume wig care to keep the hair flowing and the colors vibrant. She hand-crafts all of the ears herself in her own workshop. Most of the wigs have an accompanying tails with coordinating colors. Each tail comes with a clip to attach to your clothes. It’s long and flowing, just like a real pony’s tail. Erin definitely makes dressing up as a unicorn horse super easy and fun.

I wanted to show you some My Little Pony cosplay so you can see how it looks exactly. I found a beautiful example on Flickr, which I put below for you. I will also leave you this link on Google Images where you can see some more great pics. If you would like to get some of these costume wigs and tails so you can look like a magical unicorn horse full of sparkly friendship and glitter, you can pick up some of Erin’s creations on Etsy. All of her designs range from around $40 up to around $150, depending on what you choose.
